Bella Cockrell

These illustrations have been made to accompany articles in my local student newspaper, "The Badger". Many of the briefs recieved from the editors were vague (usually a descriptive sentence or two) as the articles had not been written yet so this gave me a free reign on what I could illustrate. My turnover from being given an assignment and completing is about a day per illustration and I typically did two a week.

In 2013 I was commissioned by an author to produce 20 black and white illustrations to accompany a book about the life of Leonardo Da Vinci. The book was to be written in Russian and was aimed for children aged 7+

A sticker created for the Stickerzine project on Tumblr. The only restrictions for the competition was to have a limited palette: I chose the basic primary colours and various shades. On this page, you can see the finished sticker along with an artist banner as well as my design process.
